I love the photos. I would love to go up to Alaska fishing and hiking. Andy Scholl is in Ancorage so would love to go visit him too. I love the bear photos especially. Glad you had such an awesome trip. By the way, did you keep any of these fish you caught???
Hi Donna, The fish we caught were spawing, so not good eating. The trout and dolly varden are a required release- so just fun to catch and put back. They offer silver salmon trips out on Resurrection Bay, and people were catching salmon out there and keeping them. We were content with the fun factor of the smaller river. Alaska is SO big- it's hard to see it all. The resort was great- highly recommend it! It's about 2.5 hours from Anchorage, so it would be a great vacation for you guys. It's so beautiful!
