The heat index jumped pretty high this last week... and what were we to do, but blow up the floatie and head down to Rattlesnake Lake to float around. It was so refreshing.. that water is COLD!

Flying Fish
The rivers are finally coming down from their rushing heights and river fishing on dry flies has become a fun hobby again. The nutrients on the Western Washington side are not plentiful, so the river fish stay pretty small. This little nipper couldn't resist a big wooly wulff fly pattern. Summer is "o-fish-ally" here, again!

SUM-THIN I JEST LERNT
I just learned that you can watch my Youtube videos in better quality. If you click on the video twice it takes you to the actual Youtube site. At that point, you can click "view in high quality" and it will start in with a better picture. I was kind of disappointed in the grainy-ness until I figured that out. Makes it much more enjoyable...to actually see the picture.
Tuck, Robin and Marmot Lakes
Last week we headed into the wood for a few days and nights of R&R. We are making up "play" time for the last 2 year we spent building the house...and trying to get as much out of the warm temps as possible- summer is flying by! We had an invigorating time in the mountains again making new, fun memories. Because Youtube only lets you upload 10 minute movies (max), I've broken our trip down into 2. Enjoy the pictures!
