Thanksgiving

As mentioned, we headed south for turkey day to Texas to find some sun and share some memories with my sister and her family. We packed in a full schedule of activities, including an overnight visit to San Antonio to watch the Riverwalk light up with sparking Christmas lights. It was a super fun visit!

Brazos Bend State Park

Lewis and Clark searched from great heights for the next adventure

Here's your Christmas Card, Trac!
At 6am, the morning of Thanksgiving, we got up and headed to the annual Turkey Dash. Traci, Justin and I did a 5k, and Jarin ran the kids 1k (the husbands took pictures and watched- circle the smart ones). It was one of those things that seemed like a good idea when we signed up for it, but at 6am...it was a little hard to get motivated. Despite puffy eyes, we had a lot of fun and made room for turkey and trimmings.

Later that day... we feasted...

Black Friday we were up and headed to San Antonio, with two silly boys riding in the backseat.

San Antonio proved to have a lot of fun hats and props for pictures. Vilnez Asariez...

Draw, cowboy.
Justinio Kujapeno...

This is the inside of the creepy Menger Hotel. It's one of the top 20 haunted places in the world. We didn't see any ghosts, but did see an odd face on the carpet (oh yeah and lots of odd faces in mirrors).

We got some great seats at the theatre for the floating Christmas Parade, right on the Riverwalk. It was super festive, but felt so weird to be in a warm climate and hearing "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..."
